Best CBB bet for Wednesday from Mr. FC – 2/9/22

What a game! Arkansas pulled it out in overtime, cashing both plays from yesterday’s post (Arkansas +2 and Arkansas ML +115), not to mention one of the greatest finishes/court storming we’ve ever seen. Back to business today after an incredible 8-1 (+7.59u) Tuesday.

Ohio State (#19) -3 over Rutgers (#88)

Ohio State 14-5 (7-3) is way more than 3 points better than Rutgers 13-9 (7-5) in my opinion, but thanks to Rutgers’ dominant performance at home against Michigan State on Saturday, I feel like the line is lower than it should be. Ohio State has quietly been taking care of business since they lost to Wisconsin back on January 13th, beating Penn State, IUPUI, Minnesota, and Maryland, with their only loss coming on the road to Purdue by 3 (who may be the best team in entire country). Rutgers lost to Penn State, Minnesota, and Maryland.

Rutgers shot 62% from the field and 45% from 3 against Michigan State, a stark contrast from their season average of 43.2% (228th) and 33.5% (197th), so as usual I expect way fewer shots to fall for Rutgers tonight. On the flip side, Ohio State is 22nd in the country in field goal percentage (48.2%) and 34th in 3 point percentage (37.1%).

With Ohio State’s top 5 offense (who also doesn’t turn the ball over much) against Rutgers 140th ranked offense, I simply don’t see Rutgers getting enough shots to fall to keep up with the Buckeyes. BOL to everyone tonight!
