CFB Bowl Saturday – 12/18/21

*Breathes In… Breathes out*

I will be attempting to pick every bowl game in miraculous fashion, I do not expect to miss a single pick and we will go undefeated this bowl season. Okay, I wish I was perfect, all jokes aside though, I think it’ll be fun to tackle all these and if you need some suggestions or a push to make your bet, that’s what I’m here for.

Appalachian State/WKU, App State -2.5 Over 67.5

Boca Raton bowl, I think that Appalachian State is a very good team that’s only lost to very good teams, ranked Louisiana twice, Miami (FL) and Coastal Carolina. Western isn’t good enough defensively to slow them down but this game should be very entertaining and very high scoring, take the large 67.5 Over and a win for App State by 7-10.

Fresno State/UTEP, Under 52

Big Spread for a bowl game in the PUBG Mobile New Mexico Bowl at 11.5 so I dodged it. Fresno State was a very good team all year and only lost a couple games. I think the Bulldogs are going to have to fight for every yard against a hungry UTEP team that wants its first bowl win since 67’. Under 52 in this one.

BYU/UAB, BYU -6.5

Radiance Technologies Independence Bowl. BYU is far and away the better team in my eyes and with no one sitting it out it’s hard to dodge a TD margin. BYU has won their last 5 and I don’t think UAB has seen a team like this since Week 2. I’ll take the Cougars -6.5

Liberty/Eastern Michigan, Liberty -9.5

Liberty has been a very good football team, and I’m not going to lie I don’t know anything about Eastern Michigan. The first time I get to look at the Eagles is the LendingTree Bowl. Malik Willis will try and pump his draft stock after dropping some games at the end of the season, And the overall dominance in the run game you’ll see will take Liberty above and beyond.

Oregon State/Utah State, Utah St +7.5

Been riding the Beavs all season and it breaks my heart to pick against them this far down the stretch. But if i’m going to go perfect I have to go with the numbers. The Jimmy Kimmel Bowl features a Utah State team that has a better record, scores more points, allows less points, and won their Conference Championship by 5 scores. The Beavs have had a tougher season and are 1-5 not in their home stadium. Give me Utah State with the points.

Louisiana/Marshall, Ragin Cajuns –4

R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl. I don’t know what that is but hopefully you New Orleans people do. Not only has Louisiana been a really good team all year, only losing one game. This is literally a home game. Played in Louisiana. Marshall’s pass offense will be something to watch out for, I think that’s what’s going to keep this game exciting. But, a Ragin Cajuns game in the Superdome for a 12 win season should be all I need to hear to take em given a touchdown.
