NFL Week 10 bets from Mr. FC – CLE/NE KC/LV

We are already officially at the halfway point of the season and man has it flown by! It’s been an unpredictable year so far and that trend continued in Week 9. I was able to split on the Ravens and Texans, while hitting on the Titans +7.5 and Bears +7 in primetime for a solid 3-1 weekend ATS. Onto the second half of the season!

Browns ML over Patriots

I hate myself a little for it (sorry any Browns fans), but I’m really starting to like this team. Defensively they’re great against the run and seem to consistently get pressure, which has helped their secondary and made them a more complete unit. Over the past three weeks, they’ve given up 16,15, and 14 points and are certainly trending in the right direction.

New England obviously is no slouch defensively only giving up about 19 PPG so far this season, but they’ve been underwhelming and inconsistent with rookie QB Mac Jones at the helm against quality competition. I have way more trust in Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb and the Browns offense to put together quality drives to score enough points to win, so I’m taking them to win outright in Foxborough.

Edit: Chubb news came out literally minutes after posting this. Sticking to my guns and relying on D’Ernest Johnson.

Chiefs -2.5 over Raiders (2.2u to win 2u)

This is the first time I’ve looked at a Chiefs line in the last couple years and didn’t feel like it was inflated (even though I’ve admittedly still bet a few). I guess the Raiders get a few points with it being primetime at home, but the Chiefs are still at least a touchdown better than the Raiders.

The Chiefs defense is finally coming into its own with Chris Jones back in the middle with Frank Clark getting healthy (and playing well) along with the addition of Melvin Ingram, essentially winning the last two games for the Chiefs as the offense continued to sputter. However, there are some positives on the offensive side of the ball with the turnovers starting to even out, and up until last week they hadn’t had an issue moving the ball, just keeping it.

Mahomes has looked like he’s trying to do too much so far this season and uncomfortable behind a new offensive line, but with the defense playing better and the run game being successful when they’ve used it, Reid and Mahomes should lean more on Darrel Williams and the rest of the backfield against a Raiders defense that has struggled against the run, setting Mahomes and the rest of the offense up for a successful night.

Finally, I have to mention Andy Reid’s AFC West dominance and Derek Carr’s 3-11 record, 15 INTs, and 33 sacks against the Chiefs lifetime. That’s all.

All bets are -110 and 1.1u to win 1u unless stated otherwise.
