So I bounced back from a disastrous Sunday by sweeping both my prop bets during Monday Night Football, so it’s time to get back on track with my spread bets. This week there’s two early ones I really like, might add one or two more on later.
Titans -1 over Colts
The Titans outgained the Colts by over 100 yards in their 25-16 Week 3 victory, despite turning the ball over three times to the Colts zero. It’s fair to say the Titans are playing their best football of the season, taking down the two teams in the AFC Championship game last season in back to back weeks (and on a short week).
The biggest thing that stands out to me though is how the Titans defense played against the Chiefs, making them look like the Broncos (we’ll get to that in a second) and only allowing 3 points. The Chiefs have been inexplicably bad this season, but were still leading the league in yards and near the top in points despite all the turnovers. The Colts “resurgence” after their 0-3 start doesn’t do much for me, as two of their wins were against the Dolphins and Texans and the other being the slopfest that was their win over the 49ers on Sunday Night Football.
I think it’s clear that the Titans are the better and more reliable team right now, and I personally think they should at least be getting a field goal, so I’ll take the Titans to win and cover.
WFT +3 over Broncos
Fading the Broncos. Can’t stop, won’t stop. Teddy Bridgewater wasn’t even able to generate enough offense to beat the Case Keenum led Browns, so I’ll take almost any plus points I can get against this Denver team. I have zero faith in them to score and while I obviously know the fault in this Washington team is their secondary, the Broncos aren’t the team that are going to be able to expose that like others have. I expect a get right game for the defensive line of Washington and an ugly, close game overall, so I’ll take WFT and the field goal.
