Saturday CFB Picks – 10/22/21

I’ve been trending positive the past couple weeks but oh boy what a slate of games this is. Very ugly, everything is either floating away from ranked teams or floating at like 20+ points. I like all the ranked teams. I like all the big lines I don’t really know what to think but this is what I’ve got for you guys this week. Let’s win some coin.

Wake Forest/Army, Wake Forest -3

Wake loves to score to say the least. Their quarterback is a machine that limits quarterbacks and leads a team that scores 38.5 points a game. Wake Forest has a talent advantage which is not something we get to say much but they have been undefeated all season and I don’t think 3 points is enough for the #16 team in the country. We know what Army is going to come out with, they run the ball and run the ball and run the ball. It’s a unique system that throws teams off their game when they least expect it.

The Demon Deacons is a dope name that continues to win football games and coming off of a bye week I’m sure they focused on their strategy to make a statement. Take WF -3.

Oregon/UCLA, Oregon +2

Okay Oregon, time to show up. This is going to be another game in this slate of mush that I think makes a statement. Not every game can be an upset and everyone seems to be riding on the Chip Kelly UCLA revenge game. Might be a rewrite from the Wake game but they have a consistent quarterback who doesn’t turn the ball over. Oregon likes to run the ball and run successfully but UCLA has a rather good run defense. On the other side UCLA relies heavily on the run game as well and the Ducks strength happens to right there as well.

Remember when Texas and Oklahoma played a couple weeks ago and we saw Oklahoma figure it out? Of course you do. This is kinda how I see this game going and Oregon having to figure it out to keep their hopes alive.

Oregon State/Utah, Oregon State +3

Back on the Beavs! Oregon State is a pretty good football team, and they hang on to the ball forever. They run the ball like crazy and for over 240 yards a game. Utah is getting hot right about now, but I think this is where it ends. A home puppy, undefeated at home so far this season. They had a poor game last week, but I think you see the trend here. Terrible lines and statement games.

Take the Oregon State Beavers as underdogs in this one plus three points.

Bonus: Illinois +23, Bowling Green +3, BYU -4.5, Oklahoma St +7, ND -6.5
