Boston College/Clemson, Boston College +16 (7:30PM EST)
A rather disrespectful spread for Boston College this week against a struggling Clemson squad. Not only is Clemson coming off of a crazy overtime loss to NC State, but the only team they have really dismantled is South Carolina State. Maybe I’m overreacting, which is very possible, but I also don’t think Boston College is that bad. BC is 4-0 (3-1 ATS) and coming off of a win against an SEC opponent where they scored 41 points. This team can score and has a very similar strategy to NC State which is good and bad. Last week, the Eagles ran for over 275 yards, with a couple different backs getting touches. Clemson had a similar problem with NC State, giving up 170 yards to their two top backs. So, I’m not saying expect Clemson to lose because they are at home and they are honestly too talented to be 2-2 right now, but they’re 0-4 ATS so far and it seems like this spread was made three weeks ago.
Give Boston College basically 2 touchdowns to work with, take BC at +16
Arkansas/Georgia, Arkansas +18.5, Arkansas +750 and O/U 48.5 (12PM EST)
This is a crazy game to bet on if you think Arkansas has any chance, which lucky you all I do. This comes with great warning, however. Both defenses are smothering for lack of a better word so it’s going to come down to the wire and will rely on not turning the ball over. KJ Jefferson has looked impressive this year and the running game has been excellent. Also adding, Georgia has the best run defense in the nation. It will be a hard-fought battle, but I think after really looking into it, Arkansas has 19 seniors on the squad and has been waiting years for this moment to be able to beat the A&M’s and the Georgia’s in the SEC. 18.5 is a lot of points I think that is a respectable pick, let alone Arkansas continues to climb and be more impressive as the weeks go on, so what if they win? Arkansas money line is +750!! I think its definitely worth a sprinkle, parlay it with the over/under whichever you feel at +1500. Ridiculous odds for the number 8 team in the country.
Pittsburgh/Georgia Tech, Georgia Tech +3.5 (12PM EST)
The Home Puppy. A great sight to see. Georgia Tech is coming off a clean win against formerly ranked North Carolina. The dual QB threat that they use with Jeff Sims and Jordan Yates had UNC in a panic to try and figure it out. While Pitt’s coach Pat Narduzzi says they are more prepared for the RPO, I don’t think the game against University of New Hampshire was much trouble as they dominated. As I mentioned earlier its still hard to see if Clemson is good or bad or what their deal is but if they are good a 14-8 loss isn’t a bad road loss for GT either where they held Uiagelelei to 126 yards and no touchdowns.
At home, Pitt is good but not great, give GT +3.5 on their home turf this week.
Bonus: Michigan ML +110, South Carolina -7, Auburn +3.5
