KC -1.5 over TEX, NYY -1.5 over TOR (+362)
The Royals open up the season with a favorable pitching matchup and at home in front of fans for the first time in nearly two years. Brad Keller, the sturdy ace of the staff who went 5-3 with a 2.47 ERA last year will face off against Kyle Gibson who is coming off a 2-6, 5.35 ERA season.
The Royals also significantly improved their offense this season with additions such as Carlos Santana and Andrew Benintendi and bolstered their bullpen as well, while the Rangers are expected to be one of the worst teams in the AL this season.
It’s Opening Day and anything can happen, but I like the value on the Royals to win by at least two over Texas.
Next, the Yankees and undisputed best team in the AL is a no brainer today. They have Gerrit Cole on the mound so you can assume a low run total for the Blue Jays, and while offenses can sometimes start slow out of the gate, the Yankees have so much firepower that it’s tough to see a scenario today where they don’t cover today.
As a reminder, I always put 1 unit on the parlay and 2 units on each bet individually. Follow along here.
