NFL Week 14 Bets – Part 1

After getting back on track last week with a solid 4-2 day, we’re back chasing that perfect 6-0 week starting with these 3 bets:

NE +6.5 over LAR

This line was a head scratcher when it first dropped with the inconsistent Rams at almost a touchdown favorite, but has since moved to +5. Either way, we like the Patriots to at the very least keep this game close due to the Rams constant mistakes and not being able to get out of their own way.

Who knows, maybe the Pats have found new life after their dominant win over the Chargers, and Goff and the turnover prone Rams offense is the last team we’re banking on to cover a large spread.

KC -7 over MIA

On the flip side, the Chiefs are the exact team we expect to cover a big spread. While KC is on a 7 game winning streak, their last 4 games have been decided by 6 points or less, on average about 4 points. The Dolphins is the game where we see the Chiefs were used to, scoring 40+ on their way to a two touchdown victory.

The Dolphins have benefited from a weak schedule this season and while their future is as bright as it has ever been, they simply don’t have the firepower to keep up with the Chiefs. Miami’s defensive numbers have been impressive overall this season, but the two games they played against a top 10 offense (BUF/SEA), they gave up 31 points each time and lost.

Miami’s only two wins against “good” teams are the Cardinals and Rams, both who have huge question marks and are nowhere near the best teams in the league. Chiefs by double digits.

HOU -1.5 over CHI

This is an interesting matchup as Houston is certainly one of the better 4-8 teams one can imagine, while the Bears are riding 6 game losing streak after starting 5-1.

When it comes to a tossup type of matchup like this, go with the better quarterback. That is without a doubt Watson so we like the Texans to go into Chicago and come out with the victory and the cover.
